You can have a new smile in as little as two visits!
Porcelain Veneers may be just what you are looking for if you have healthy teeth and gums but are unhappy with your smile.
Porcelain Veneers help brighten permanently stained or discolored teeth that will not take to whitening.
Veneers are very thin, custom-made materials designed to cover the front surface of your teeth to greatly improve your appearance. They provide a cosmetic improvement to your smile by concealing stains, discoloration, and chips located on the surface of your teeth. They are an inexpensive and convenient cosmetic dentistry treatment that will change the way you smile at the world.
Porcelain Veneer Procedure:
Getting new porcelain veneers usually requires 2-3 visits:
- Treatment planning - The first step involves talking to one of our highly qualified dentists about the result that you are trying to achieve. During this appointment, we will examine your teeth to make sure porcelain veneers are appropriate for you and discuss what the procedure will involve and some of its limitations.
- Preparation - To prepare a tooth for a veneer, we will remove about 1/2 millimeter of enamel from the tooth surface, which is an amount nearly equal to the thickness of the veneer to be added to the tooth surface. Next, our team will make a model of your teeth, and send that model to a dental laboratory to construct your veneers. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to receive the veneers back from the laboratory. Temporary porcelain veneers can be placed during this waiting period.
- Bonding. Before the porcelain veneer is permanently cemented to your tooth, we will temporarily place it on your tooth to examine its fit and color. A special cement is applied to the veneer and the veneer is then placed on your tooth.
Our dentists have done extensive training in the art and science of porcelain veneers and has tremendous experience to create beautiful veneers that mimic nature, and are in harmony with a person’s face and smile!
