Aubrey's Journey to Becoming an RDA

Aubrey embarked on her dental journey at KDC in July of 2022, joining the team as the Philadelphia Square Sterile Technician. Her inspiration came from her sister, Mikaela, who is an RDA at the same location. Witnessing her sister's growth and achievements in the dental field became the driving force behind Aubrey's decision to pursue a career in dentistry. She also admired her aunt's accomplishments in the dental profession, solidifying her choice to follow in their footsteps.

While Aubrey initially hadn't considered dentistry as her ultimate path, she is now immensely grateful for the opportunities it has provided her. Observing the joy that her family members found in their dental careers, as well as their desire for professional development, served as a constant source of inspiration. Aubrey has always possessed a strong drive to serve her community, and upon realizing the transformative impact of quality dental care on people's lives, she knew she had made the right choice.

As a Registered Dental Assistant, Aubrey embraces the wide range of responsibilities within her new role. From preparing examination rooms and supporting dentists and hygienists during procedures and exams to educating patients about oral health, providing aftercare instructions, and scheduling appointments, she finds fulfillment in understanding the needs of each guest and assisting them accordingly. Aubrey emphasizes the importance of establishing a rapport with the dentist, as it plays a crucial role in this role.

In Aubrey's experience, patience is a vital quality for anyone pursuing a career as an RDA. Some subjects proved challenging to grasp initially, and frustration could easily arise. However, she found that maintaining patience and determination made a significant difference in overcoming these obstacles. Additionally, being a team player and willingly offering assistance while also accepting support when needed are essential traits for success in this role.

Teamwork forms an integral part of achieving success in the dental field, and Aubrey found that her past experiences in sports and school naturally prepared her for collaborative work. She considers the remarkable women at Kremer Dental Care as her second family, appreciating their unwavering support. Building a strong team dynamic and developing trust among colleagues are key components of a thriving dental office environment.

Throughout her training period, Aubrey experienced a particularly rewarding interaction with a kind and patient mother and daughter. They supported her as she learned and expressed gratitude, leaving her with encouraging words that have resonated with her at every step of her journey. It is encounters like these that reaffirm her passion for the position and make it all the more rewarding. Aubrey eagerly anticipates further utilizing her newly acquired skills and making a positive impact in her field.

Kremer Dental Care is extremely proud of Aubrey and all her hard work to receive this well-deserved certification. Working as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in the dental field is a truly wonderful and fulfilling experience. Each day presents new opportunities to contribute to the well-being of patients and make a positive impact on their oral health. Building rapport with patients and witnessing their smiles transform throughout their treatment journey is incredibly rewarding. Moreover, the dental field is ever-evolving, offering continuous learning and growth opportunities. With advancements in technology and techniques, there is always something new to discover and the opportunity to enhance your skills is neverending. Overall, for Aubrey, being an RDA in the dental field brings joy, fulfillment, and the chance to positively impact the lives of others while pursuing a career that she is truly passionate about.
